On April 13, 2016, Kobe Bryant played the final game of his 20-year career. The game, his 1,566th as an NBA athlete, ended with with Kobe scoring an impressive 60 points. While Bryant’s career as a professional player may have ended that day, a new chapter in his career was born, athletic mentor. His desire to champion a new generation of athletes couldn’t be more apparent than in Nike’s Kobe A.D. shoe campaign. Gallagher was hired to facilitate the press release for the shoe, and create a space that would pay tribute to the “fallen-star.” A memorial style shrine was created to display the shoe and included a larger than life image of the star’s famous face, immortalizing the still-living-legend.
