One of Michael Jordan’s most iconic performances was when he battled through flu-like symptoms to score 38 points for the Chicago Bulls, beating the Utah Jazz in Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of this iconic game we produced, designed and fabricated a pop-up shop with Jordan Brand in downtown Salt Lake City. We created the “Flu Game” Pop-Up by taking over and gutting a local Salt Lake City sneaker shop, designing and fabricating a mini museum dedicated to Jordan. We coordinated the lighting, sound and audiovisuals for a rebroadcast of the 1997 game on a 9×20 foot jumbotron, and brought the event to life with live performances, local artists, food, and exclusive opportunities to take home swag and purchase retro and unreleased Jordan sneakers.
